Two New Video Sites Pay for Content!
Revver has remained the prevailing platform by which people with video content can share their material (like YouTube) but also get paid based on the quantity of people that view it. The funds are generated through advertising dollars, and split 50/50 between Revver and the owner of the content. Now Revver has two new potential…
Will Ferrell and His Toddler Landlord
With mixed emotions, I tell you that the viral-video scene just got serious. My comedic idol, Will Ferrell, showcases his ability to jump backwards on the video-to-tv/film divide. I’m thrilled to see him set a higher bar, but candidly worried about a new breed of competition. He and Adam McKay appear in this hysterical video…

Viral Video & Seeding
Two interesting articles about online-video “seeding” and viral marketing in general, and a few of my favorite quotes: Josh Warner, head of Feed Co., a video-seeding outfit in Los Angeles, describes in AdAge his efforts to promote Obama. Who I had a dream about last night, but probably because my wife told me three times…
My GPS got PMS Today
Weirdest thing. I'm driving along minding my own business (and happened to be videotaping myself as usual- with a two-camera shoot). And my GPS machine starts copping a 'tude on me. Turns out she had PMS, but I didn't realize that until I tossed her out the window of my moving car. Anyone know where…
Top 10 Things YouTube’s New CFO Will Do
YouTube recently hired Yahoo Treasurer Gideon Yu as its chief financial officer (TheStreet). He joins 60 people working for the San Mateo company, including Tony Nethercutt, a fellow Yahoo alumnus that runs YouTube’s advertising. What are the top 10 things Yu will do? We speculate… Get stoned with Chad Hurley and Steven Chen to show that he’s…

Okay, NOW do I have a shot in hell of getting one of my comments into the I videos???? (Must think of something good. . . .)
I spotted it first 😛
haven’t been watching, but now i’m intrigued… lots of good elements: viewer participation, good writing, shot well, acted well and they seem to be evolving.
i tried to sit through episode 1 and couldn’t deal – too long, shots were drawn out, etc. I skipped all the way to episode 15 and kinda get it.
The Nalts brigade is now taking over ichannel’s comments. Few people are actually posting responses to i, relative to the people talking about Nalts. 🙂 I tried to do a bit of both.
Who? Wha? Man, I’m so far out of the loop I feel like I’ve left the country without my passport.
I know somebody who lost her passport while out of the country. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Mike’s right about the comments 🙂
I KNEW the voice sounded formilar on the phone message!! tricky nalts…tricky
Marquis – just click on the “it is i” link in Nalts’ post above and all will become clear.
Wow! Can I get you to do a cameo in our show?
By the way, Nalts Fans, May 12th is Nalts’ birthday.
If I had the wherewithall, I’d set up one of those fancy video response thingies on Revver and YouTube and have people sing Happy Birthday to him.
Instead, I’ll just put a candle in a bag of Fat-free Doritos with Olean and watch it burn…
I like butter
Your mom likes butter
found you through youtube…funneh.
oh, I like this!
Is this “I like butter” comment going to be another one of those things I need nutcheese to explain to me on stickam? I am so old . . . .
