Online Video Goes Local: More Like Radio Than TV
We continue December’s guest blogs by online-video gurus and friends (see Punchy‘s post yesterday). This post is by Peter Coffin, a frequent commenter and YouTube and star of the fresh new single “This Song is Cliche.” Although I had met Peter via such video collaborations as “Mean Kitty Parody,” it wasn’t until last year’s YouTube…
Trend Spotting: Tag-Team Vlogging… Brothers, Awesome Girls, Guys, Kids and Dogs.
It’s the hottest new trends in video vlogging since ZeFrank jumped the shark. A video channel shared by multiple people, each of whom takes a certain day of the week. The possibilities are endless. Thought it’s probably an art form that has roots in the 1700s, this was mainstreamed by BrotherHood 2.0, where two brothers…
Can a Librarian Enjoy a Fart Joke?
I recently received an e-mail from Martina Kominiarek, executive director of our county library system, regarding my candid-camera style “Farting in Public” video. Seems a library patron complained to her about the video, which has been viewed more than 1.7 million times on YouTube. You can imagine the sinking feeling I had when I received her e-mail (which…
First-Ever Instructional & Entertaining DVD Series on Viral Video: Charles Trippy’s Weapon To Win “The Next Internet Millionaire”

Charles Trippy, a college student and…

Have we seen the last of Revver.com, the first online-video site that shared advertising revenue with creators? It’s MIA… check www.Revver.com. This blog began as “Revverberation,” and was primarily about the website… sadly it got little traction, was acquired, and eventually stopped paying creators. See Revver’s Wikipedia entry for all the good will it left…

That had a Klingeresque Mash-like feel to it with an Office Space vibe. Nice job.
That guy who allowed his tie to go in the shredder was a brave soul. He could have died!
Thanks- someone did suggest I wear a Klinger dress, but I thought that might come back to haunt me.
I tested the tie shredder bit before doing it, and assured him that there’s no “pull” effect. At any point, you can pull the tie out. He had to fake like it was bringing him into the shredder, in fact. The minute he sat up it’s released. It was his idea to walk by with the mini tie in a later segment.
