Video Marketing for Dummies

My publisher, Wiley, just published “Video Marketing for Dummies.” It’s more aimed at small companies and focuses not just on marketing but production.

Forget the media with their satellite phones. For an an unmediated and humorous view into the war, check out Zack Scott on Revver or see his site at ZackScottReports.com. Here’s the context. Zack calls his friend Brock Wood, who is with the military and stationed in Iraq. Zack assumes Wood is oblivious to world events,…
I’m a capitalist. There I said it. I like free, but I respect fee-based services for valuable solutions. Innovators should get paid, and heavy users should open their wallets. There are two ways to transition between free and paid: fair and uncool. Let’s examine two models for each, and explain why Ning (who failed at…
Marquisdejolie (the Andy Warhol of online videos) has reviews the quality of most online video sites. Which ones turn your video into pixel sludge, and which ones keep it pretty? All the answers here, including examples.
Naked cheese video. See explanation below. This explanation will be deleted in 24 hours. A PROFOUND apology to WillVideoForFood readers. The idea of a pure cheese video was spawned from this post about 3 rules of viral video. I got a “dare you to make a video about cheese” note from a regular WVFF contributor…
Larry King gets about 1.2 million viewers a night. This guy, Sxephil, has been seen 14 million times in the past month. The YouTube “star” will average 1 million views per day soon. Larry King is well known, can be found easily on the large monitor you call a television. He’s been in lots of…
If you had asked me a year ago, I might have told you that comedy troupes would dominate the most-subscribed channels on YouTube. How much of it was copied from your book?
May I please send it to you so you can determine that?
hmmm i wonder if you would get sued if you changed the title of your book…. *wipes smarmite on this comment*
Omg I can’t believe you used the word ‘smarmiest’. I love a man with a big vocabulary.
I think that guy needs some advice from page 356. Bad editing. That video is waaaaay too long.
I bet your farts smell like rainbows and unicorns. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.
I’ll bet unicorns don’t smell nice.
This book is for Dummies. Says so right in the title.
I’m a big fan of Nalts and also a purchaser of his book last year. I also had the opportunity to work with the four co-authors of “Video Marketing for Dummies” on the production of their book. Not only are they quite complementary, but good reads. I’d add these two, plus Steve Garfield’s and Greg Jarboe’s to the video marketer’s book shelf. If you’d like a video overview of the book with a customer example, you can find it at http://www.pixability.com/pixabilitytv#pixtv20.

What kind of marketing / production does it offer?
