Video Marketing for Dummies

My publisher, Wiley, just published “Video Marketing for Dummies.” It’s more aimed at small companies and focuses not just on marketing but production.

A video blog takes over a young man’s life. iChannel is a continuing interactive web series where subscribers’ comments can affect the story. It’s one of the fastest growing YouTube accounts and they’re up to episode eleven. Great acting for this serialized video. And I want a cameo. Thanks to Jill and Tom for bringing…
You gotta love Scott at laughingsquid for curating the best .000000023 percent of the information super highway. Could you ask for finer entertainment then people narrowly averting death? It’s like that horrible “Faces of Death” that I watched as a teenager (and would later watch The Muppets to decompress). Only it’s all gonna be just fine… But…
Meet Des. Here’s the bit… an Australian dad talks crap and his son animates it and posts them as Podcasts. Here’s what appears to be the first one, and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I want more of them. For now online video is about four things… stupid, real, funny, short. If I…
Crows root through garbage, and caw us from our slumber. But what if I could train the species- which top the avian IQ scale – to be my minions? Then I read in a recent O Magazine about a hacker named Joshua Klein who spent a decade studying crows, and discovered they’re highly intelligent and…
Video contests continue to roll out, often ignoring some of the basics for attracting good entries. Some examples from the past few days… Mount Olive Pickle Company is seeking 30 to 60-second videos describing why Mt. Um, I don’t see a link to a video!
Fixed
How much of it was copied from your book?
May I please send it to you so you can determine that?
hmmm i wonder if you would get sued if you changed the title of your book…. *wipes smarmite on this comment*
Omg I can’t believe you used the word ‘smarmiest’. I love a man with a big vocabulary.
I think that guy needs some advice from page 356. Bad editing. That video is waaaaay too long.
I bet your farts smell like rainbows and unicorns. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.
I’ll bet unicorns don’t smell nice.
This book is for Dummies. Says so right in the title.
I’m a big fan of Nalts and also a purchaser of his book last year. I also had the opportunity to work with the four co-authors of “Video Marketing for Dummies” on the production of their book. Not only are they quite complementary, but good reads. I’d add these two, plus Steve Garfield’s and Greg Jarboe’s to the video marketer’s book shelf. If you’d like a video overview of the book with a customer example, you can find it at http://www.pixability.com/pixabilitytv#pixtv20.

What kind of marketing / production does it offer?
