How & Why Madison Avenue Is Killing YouTube (and what it can do)
Call it a subtle scent at this week’s Ad:Tech in NYC… Lots of discussion of online-video, even if not in proportion to online-video’s growing importance to the online-marketing mix. More interesting, however, is that most conversations didn’t use the two words: “you” and “tube.” People talked about contextual targeting, video-advertising networks, and even facial recognition….
Wrap Videos with Google Adsense Ads
I don’t believe I’ve written about Flixya yet, but here’s another way to make money on your videos (or other peoples’). Flixya wraps your videos — which can live on sites like YouTube to Revver — with Google Adsense ads. They give you half the earnings. Via PinoyHack.

Making Money on Your Amateur Videos: Comparing Revenue-Sharing Websites
Now that we’re seeing several online video sites that share revenue with video creators, it’s time for a comparison grid! For now I’m starting with Revver vs. Panjea vs. Eefoof, since they’re the only prominent sites that share revenue. I’ve also included YouTube and Google Video since they’re popular and give us a comparative base on some non-revenue…
Who Will Help Me Find Good Videos?
Since most online video sites are now swelling beyond their capacity, I’d say there’s an interim (and maybe permanent) market for editors that are willing to sift the good from the garbage. Yes.
aw. I wish I was on the news. Rest assured, if I were as newsworthy as this, my montage video would probably be 100X more egotistical. That’s some stuff to be proud of there, Nalts.
Hank is in the other room saying “Bad bad bad. No no no. thbb thbb thbb. I am dead.”
That Nalts. What a loser.
@4: Definitely NOT a loser. Just a little too full of himself.
Couldn’t get it to stream. This was the worst-streamed video I’ve ever seen. Blip or WordPress?
@6: Worked fine for me.
You have the gift of humility.
ok then.
Actually I was in the news last week “clicks”
@6 It was blip. Bad blip? @3 Yes I was touching my wee wee.
You totally almost got us BOTH yelled at today when you chose to try and make me watch this instead of doing our chores.
…jerkface
Egotistical? No.
Made of awesome? Yes.
@7
What browser are you using?
@11
I’m using the latest version of Firefox, the current version of Flash Player, the latest version of Quicktime and have high speed internet and I still can’t get this video to stream past the intro.
OMG! Isn’t that like the same news clip chopped up into like 50 pieces? I surrendered to your absurdity eons ago!
Best part of the clip was WoN!
ok, ok…I liked it! =)
Finally got the player to work. This is a much better trailer than your “Trailer” trailer. Trailer…just like saying that..trailer..
@14: Firefox. On FiOS.
@18
We have decided that I can’t stream this video because of a Charter Communications server problem.
I just switched to Verizon FiOS about a week ago and love it. Today there were cable outages all over the area and I still had Internet.
