LonelyGirl15 Jig is Up
MediaPost reports that LonelyGirl15’s jig is up. By last week, three consumer-detectives who had corresponded with “Lonely Girl” figured out that Bree’s e-mails were originating from Hollywood’s Creative Artists Agency. The revelations forced the site’s creators to finally admit the jig was up, though they have yet to reveal the entire story. “Thank you so…

Can Google Sell Online Video Ads?
There’s been a lively debate recently among online-video enthusiasts about Google/YouTube’s capacity to sell display advertising. Sales people need different skill sets selling paid-search (automated, measurable, bid-based) versus display advertising (which is less measurable and more like selling television or print). To understand the distinction, see Google’s video; this is something we’ve been exploring at…
Be the “Life of Your Office” With These Tasteless Pranks
I love a slow-boil video, and this one delivers some hysterical prank bits that become increasingly tasteless… from desktop and fax pranks to “shivving” and murder. All with whispy 1940s commercial music. “Five April Fool’s Office Pranks” on Break.com. I also enjoy the repetition of a gag, like this skinny Brit’s unbridled enthusiasm when his…
Internet People: The Best of Viral Videos
Dan Meth produced “Internet People,” an incredibly satisfying recap of some of the finest moments in online video. From Numa Numa to “Dick in a Box,” and all of the little moments in between. Misses a few highlights (like Pearl and Nalts) but it’s pretty comprehensive and entertaining. If you’ve come late to the online-video…
Even My Boss Knew About This Video
It’s not often my boss mentions YouTube, and I usually try to avoid eye contact when he does. But at today’s staff meeting he mentioned that a friend from a former employer had a YouTube video called “Here Comes Another Bubble” by The Richter Scales. It’s a wonderful satire on the absurdity of web 2.0…

Yes.
aw. I wish I was on the news. Rest assured, if I were as newsworthy as this, my montage video would probably be 100X more egotistical. That’s some stuff to be proud of there, Nalts.
Hank is in the other room saying “Bad bad bad. No no no. thbb thbb thbb. I am dead.”
That Nalts. What a loser.
@4: Definitely NOT a loser. Just a little too full of himself.
Couldn’t get it to stream. This was the worst-streamed video I’ve ever seen. Blip or WordPress?
@6: Worked fine for me.
You have the gift of humility.
ok then.
Actually I was in the news last week “clicks”
@6 It was blip. Bad blip? @3 Yes I was touching my wee wee.
You totally almost got us BOTH yelled at today when you chose to try and make me watch this instead of doing our chores.
…jerkface
Egotistical? No.
Made of awesome? Yes.
@7
What browser are you using?
@11
I’m using the latest version of Firefox, the current version of Flash Player, the latest version of Quicktime and have high speed internet and I still can’t get this video to stream past the intro.
OMG! Isn’t that like the same news clip chopped up into like 50 pieces? I surrendered to your absurdity eons ago!
Best part of the clip was WoN!
ok, ok…I liked it! =)
Finally got the player to work. This is a much better trailer than your “Trailer” trailer. Trailer…just like saying that..trailer..
@14: Firefox. On FiOS.
@18
We have decided that I can’t stream this video because of a Charter Communications server problem.
I just switched to Verizon FiOS about a week ago and love it. Today there were cable outages all over the area and I still had Internet.
