YouTube Announces New Toll-Free Support Line: 1-800-Eat-Shit
I’ve long accepted that YouTube doesn’t do technical support, and that technical glitches may exist for extensive periods. It’s virtually a monopoly here, folks. What do you expect? You expect a messaging system with a terrible user experience, you expect your last video’s thumbnail to override your profile picture. You expect the video to upload…
ImprovEverywhere Goes Commercial
Charlie Todd, the genius behind more than 70 “ImprovEverywhere” stunts involving thousands of “agents” is going commercial. Despite a reluctance to commercialize his grassroots productions, Todd is partnering with Yahoo (to support a “go purple” campaign, according to this Advertising Age story). Todd livs in NYC and teaches improvizational comedy. Every few months he organizes an…
Consumer Divorces Advertising
In this very clever video we meet a woman personifying a consumer breaking up with her obnoxious husband, advertising. We catch this subtle analog because the actors’ shirts say “consumer” and “advertising.” It’s kinda like those editorial cartoons that assume you are clueless — so someone is illustrated holding a newspaper showing the headline the toon…

Maria Sansone’s PopTub Daily and the Future of Amateur versus Professional Content on YouTube
Remember Maria Sansone of YahooTV’s The 9? Yeah. The one that was flirting with me just two years ago? She left the Yahoo building. But don’t worry. She’s back on a video site people watch. She’s got PopTub Daily on YouTube, and it’s already showing itself as fairly topical. For starters, she reviewed my Recession…
YouTube Statistics for 2012
Time Magazine provided a rather exhaustive review of YouTube’s past, present and future. Check out the full article, titled “The Beast With a Billion Eyes” (a title, no doubt, with Shakespearean roots). Some highlights: This is the first ever coverage of YouTube that failed to mention Shaycarl or Olgakay. The piece cites the age-old quote…

Yes.
aw. I wish I was on the news. Rest assured, if I were as newsworthy as this, my montage video would probably be 100X more egotistical. That’s some stuff to be proud of there, Nalts.
Hank is in the other room saying “Bad bad bad. No no no. thbb thbb thbb. I am dead.”
That Nalts. What a loser.
@4: Definitely NOT a loser. Just a little too full of himself.
Couldn’t get it to stream. This was the worst-streamed video I’ve ever seen. Blip or WordPress?
@6: Worked fine for me.
You have the gift of humility.
ok then.
Actually I was in the news last week “clicks”
@6 It was blip. Bad blip? @3 Yes I was touching my wee wee.
You totally almost got us BOTH yelled at today when you chose to try and make me watch this instead of doing our chores.
…jerkface
Egotistical? No.
Made of awesome? Yes.

What browser are you using?
@11
I’m using the latest version of Firefox, the current version of Flash Player, the latest version of Quicktime and have high speed internet and I still can’t get this video to stream past the intro.
OMG! Isn’t that like the same news clip chopped up into like 50 pieces? I surrendered to your absurdity eons ago!
Best part of the clip was WoN!
ok, ok…I liked it! =)
Finally got the player to work. This is a much better trailer than your “Trailer” trailer. Trailer…just like saying that..trailer..
@14: Firefox. On FiOS.
@18
We have decided that I can’t stream this video because of a Charter Communications server problem.
I just switched to Verizon FiOS about a week ago and love it. Today there were cable outages all over the area and I still had Internet.
