“No Camera” is No Excuse to Skip YouTube Anymore
Sure we’ve heard all of the excuses why you’re watching YouTube but not creating your own videos:
- I have nothing interesting to add
- I don’t have a camera
- I don’t want my life online
Sure we’ve heard all of the excuses why you’re watching YouTube but not creating your own videos:
I’m really perplexed about why more online video sites aren’t sharing revenue with creators. Revver has been around for 6 months or more, even if it hasn’t officially launched yet. If you had asked me in February, I would have told you there would be several imitations and at least one popular site (YouTube, Yahoo,…
When I posted “Lay Me Off,” I got a lot of comments about the lousy audio. Part of my problem was the music was too loud (a mistake I make far too often). But I also use the camcorder’s built-in mike. So if I’m far from my subject then audio becomes a problem. I was…
For no apparent reason (and for the first time) I decided to Google “online video obsession.” What would I find? Turns out this blog was listed #3. Then I decided I needed a post titled “Online Video Obsession,” so I might rise to the #1 listing. It’s only fair. I have been diagnosed as having…
In a world where content is going digital and publishing is becoming “decentralized,” how do we ensure we’re “adequately informed?” How to we stay “up to date with what’s going on in our field”? Can we use technology to participate in the narrative? This delightfully cheery video by IDEO helps you imagine three novel integrations between…
The coolest thing about marketers are the titles they give their books. Common, right? They’re marketers. What do you expect? “The Old Rules of Marketing Are Dead,” by Timothy R. Pearson, was released today and is already the business best-seller on Amazon. Fine- don’t buy it. Just keep doing the old stuff, and at least…

Most people really don’t have anything interesting to add. What’s wrong with not making videos anyway? If people don’t want to, I can’t see any reason why they should.
If only I took the time to read your posts, I might be a better creator…..nah.
Matt, if you only POSTED videos you’d be a better creator. We already determined you are hilarious at pattytube.
Yeah, i’ll be sure to pass this news on to my 80 year old senile mother, who will reply ‘who are you? Im sorry, gotta go, this is the time I like to wander.’
Holy fuck did you just buy a computer?
Hahahahaha!
This is WONDERFUL!! Now the stupid knuckle-dragging inbred popcornhead mouthbreather crap will multiply exponentially to infinity and beyond!!!
Xtranormal is no longer free (I know, becuase we USED to use it here at the middle school), so I doubt that’ll get much play from the masses. Go Animate is pretty cool, if you like limb-less characters (they have heads, torsos, hands & feet, but no arms or legs connecting the appendages to the torso; kinda creepy. But right up your alley, sukatra!).
