YouTube Comedy Analysis: Thanks Will Reese
Friday I did a “call for crowdsource help” on the YouTube/Comedy research I’m presenting at next week’s ISHS presentation. A big thanks for your comments, and especially to Will Reese. Check out this graphic… Will’s categories (farce, dark, screwball, slapstick, parody, satire) were his own creation, and he found this interesting discover. Over shorter periods…
If She’s Pretty and Asian… She’s Probably a Computerized Virtual Composite
NOTE: Made a video about this. Watch it! So you’re trying to sell some candy in Japan (Glico’s Ice Nomi), and you sign a pop band that appears to be an SNL parody of Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show (see “fun fact” at end). Sales are up, but you decide you could sell another 30% of…
Viral Video Genius Spoof & Survival of the Happy People
Viral Video Genius, my first featured video, was unintentionally and subconsciously spoofed by self-proclaimed Phenomena, MrSafety, in “How I Became Popular on YouTube.” Well, we’ve all jumped the shark at some point. But in fairness, Cory will survive a YouTube nuclear war because he’s a human cockroach. And I mean that in a good way….

Yup, even I noticed that ad. Pretty neat.
The next time they do a “sexy ladies have one CRAZY night” movie, they should have the stars dressed as hookers soliciting the Spotlight videos.
Freestyle Interactive 🙂
Peter – far too clever and funny. Jeez man, I’m starting my day here trying to catch up. Jerk. 🙂
I like butter.
I have to agree it was a pretty cool ad. I don’t really care about the product they’re advertising, but it’s nice to have ads that are clever instead of irritating.
I thought it was pretty cool too. Apparently Madden is a pretty cool game. Not being a gamer, I really couldn’t care less, but still a cool ad.
Ditto to 1, 6 and 7
anyone have a link?
So Kevin will never wear his Nalts cap again after he gets this forehead hair. Isn’t that going to be strange?
