I used to write quite often about online-video contests because for many brands, that was their online-video strategy. It’s similar today when brand’s create a Facebook page to check off that nagging “social media” objective. A lot’s changed in the past years, and Jared “The Video Contest King” has reengaged, even musters up some praise…
Two sites that feature online-video contests: Vidopps (5 stars: kept current as of this writing- can sign up for e-mail alerts) Online-video Contests (4 stars: pretty but not as comprehensive- can sign up for e-mail alerts) YouTube contests (3 stars: not enough) XLNTads (too new to rate, and I’m biased since they sponsor me) About.com Desktop Video…
The nice thing about moderately promoted online-video contest is that your odds are really good. HomeCamera.com (a free home surveillance system) asked if I’d do a sponsored video. I offered instead to promote a contest if they’d give out some of the D-Link wireless cameras (see image below) that are being sold with HomeCamera preconfigured….
