Alligator King & Parasocial Dinner Party

Seriously, dad. Nobody's going to read that blog post. And I need a hug.

“The seventh son of the Alligator King
Was a thoughtful little whelp.
He said, “Daddy, appears to me
That you could use a little help.”

Sesame Street’s “Alligator King” (via Hulu) was performed by Bud Luckey, who according to Fr. Wiki also is the voice of Winnie the Pooh’s Eeyore, and a character designer on some of your favorite Pixar classics: from Toy Story and Finding Nemo to Incredibles and Ratatouille (which features the voice of the hysterical Patton Oswalt who you may remember from Rabbit Bites).

I believe I’d like to add Luckey to my “parasocial dinner party,” which now includes Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Gene Hackman, Patton Oswalt, Ricky Gervais (although he’d probably get quite annoyed by me), and Adam McKay. Oh and of course Rainn Wilson and Karl Pilkington (so that I’m not the geekiest). Jim Henson and Mel Blanc would be there in spirit.
