Low-Flying Camera Hits Creme Puffs
What happens when you have go glide a camera along a giant table of entres and deserts, and the director keeps saying “keep low.” Smack- the camera hits a creme puffs, and a few other sweets before the spot is done.
“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Profiterole,” an article in the recent DV magazine written by Stefan Sargent, recounts the blunder that took place while shooting a spot for Alveston Kitchens.
LOL, wth?
Now I’m hungry. That can of Dept of Agriculture surplus compressed pink salmon chunks in our cupboard doesn’t look so appetizing any more.
i couldn’t pull up the article but the ad was brilliant.
Living in Wisconsin, my camera hits a cream puff almost every time I film a video.
It looked like a turd on the lens.
Hey robnickel, your comment actually made me laugh!
It was going really well until that stack of chocolate-covered cream puffs. I didn’t read the article, but it looks like when that happened he just let loose and intentionally gaffed up the rest of the shot.
It’s actually remarkably hilarious. The first hit made me chuckle, and by the cake-covered lens at the end I was laughing hysterically.
Still, the incident probably left a permanent mark on the camera. “No, I can’t open my aperture any further-it’s got bits of cream puff stuck in it!”
I’m hungry now. I am also on a diet. You are very cruel, Uncle Nalts.
