ChannelBlast: An Online Video Site That… Um…
ChannelBlast will launch today three live, ad-sponsored interactive streaming video programs that allow visitors to interact with others via chat rooms and webcams (source: Adotas). Now I just spent 15 minutes on ChannelBlast.com and I have no idea what the site is. Can someone smarter please post an explanation?
By the way- that Avitar totally creeps me out.
The channelblast.com site is the portal through which all ChannelBlast live shows can be viewed. If you go back on the site and click on the show logos to the right of the avatar, you will be taken to a ChannelPage for each show. This is where you view the shows live or view past episodes in the video vault. When the shows are airing live in the ChannelPages, you can participate live with the show’s hosts, guests and other chatters through chatrooms attached to video screens, and through live call-ins. The view screen on the channelblast.com home page is for viewing previews of all ChannelBlast shows so you can decide which ones you want to watch. If you click on the thumbnails below that screen, that will start the preview in the main screen. The current slate of shows include NewzViewz, where you can sound off live about headlines of the day selected by the viewing audience; Room 1015, a live music show that follows the carreers of up and coming artists, and VidiotsLive, a live unscripted comedy show. More shows will roll out in the coming weeks. The channelblast.com site itself has many features to keep you entertained when you are not watching a live or archived show. Features include a chat room narrated by life-like conversational avatars who you can chat live with monday – friday from 6AM -3AM; blogs, up to the minute news, promtions (PromoBlasts) and user contributed content. Many of these features will go live in the coming weeks. ChannelBlast is definitely a new frontier of video viewing on the Internet. I hope you will come back and enjoy the shows and the interaction with the show personalities and other viewers. Thanks for the input. Jani Aronow, Chairman & CEO, ChannelBlast
