Microsoft Speech Recognition Demo Goes Awry
Great clip from Video Rambler. How’d you like to be this guy demoing Microsoft Vista’s “speech recognition” at this moment?

It’s years old, but it’s still one of my favorite online videos. In “Sound-a-Vision,” watch Homestar runner and his enemy Strongbad have a duel to settle their battle over the remaining parsnips at the depot. It’s a wonderful homage to early films with bad edits, repetitive lines, missing scenes and awkward pauses.

You’ve seen the videos with someone hiding in a garbage can and trying to scare the piss out of a garbage man. Here’s my attempt. The ending hurts.

Check out Tim Schmoyer’s new show with ReelSEO (Mark Robertson) on the subject of online video. I’m biased because I really, really like Tim and Mark… but you’ve got to admit the format is tasty. Rapid-fire delivery of important topics, like YouTube’s changes, TV networks online, and even Blip.tv! And he’s got BLOOPERS! Tim plus…
Patton Oswalt, one of my absolute favorite comedians, rants about YouTube on this Comedy Central “Root of All Evil” video excerpt. Good to know he’s watching. Hey, Patton… Forget the sneezing Panda bear. I think Farting in Public rival Citizen Kane.

Hahaha! Love it when Microshaft bungles!
Hey! I just noticed something: I haven’t turned on my TV in 3 days! I’m getting ALL my news and entertainment from the net now. Does that make me an early adopter?
You’re part of the 2006 “just say no to TV” generation. Lean forward not back. TV is like gathering the family around the old radio to listen to Orphan Annie and Ovaltine ads.
