Vlogger Has “Life Threatening” Experience… Gets Footage & Lives to Vlog About It
So at about 12:30 today I had an anaphylactic fit (which can be terminal if you don’t get epinephrine in time). Two years ago I had my first, and got to the hospital inside an hour– and was fine. This time we drove there inside 20 minutes and my breathing started to get restricted and I almost blacked out (due to blood pressure drop) on the way. The hospital scolded us for not calling an ambulance, and called it a “life threatening situtation.”
So what’s the WillVideoforFood angle? Well I got footage this time! Wahoooo. They eventually took the camera from my wife, bute not before I captured the car ride, the ER waiting area, and some of the ER room.
Below is my teaser clip from the hospital bed via a 56K line… the “action” footage will have to wait until tomorrow when I can edit it and upload it.
My wife’s best quotes caught on tape:
To mom on cell phone: “He’s not faking this time like he was with the bad back.”
To nurse: “He’s an obsessive video guy.”
To doctor: “He takes a lot of medicine…. He has a lisp…. He said he was going to poo on the way here.”
To administrator: “Oh my gosh it’s been recording (she didn’t know I left it on)… thank you for making me turn it off.”
Okay guys. This is starting to get serious. We might have to gather together and do an intervention. Video addiction. It can get ugly.
You are an inspiration to all us vloggers, excpet for that almost dieing part. That’s no good. I’m glad you made it, even though I don’t really know you. That’s just the connection vlogging can bring. Feel better. Cheers.

What was the culprit…
peanuts, bee sting, shellfish, bad video?
Feel better –

Marquis- an intervention is welcomed. I suppose I do have to ask myself what’s driving my desire to document my life’s high and lows.
Matthew- I read a blog post via micropersuasion of a blogger that lost his wife… the post he wrote the next day was one of the most powerful things I’ve read.
Joe- we don’t know what caused this or the one two-years ago. That’s what’s so frustrating. I don’t know how to prevent it. As far as they know, there’s no relationship between these fits and videos. As far as they know.
glad you made it nalts… luckily nobody was ahead of you at the toll booth paying in pennies. damn, i do love that clip.
anyway, can’t they do a check to see what you are allergic to?
Kevin,
You are absolutely CRAZED! Glad you’re feeling better. Take it easy and stop eating crayons!
glad to hear you are fine! scary stuff… and now captured for the posterity. Sigh.

Lolling about in self-importance? Attention seeking behaviour in an emergency room?
Thou art a true loser.
Attention seeking? Me? I didn’t even know the camera was on. Hee hee.
P.S. I know you’re a loser, but what am I?
