Kevin “Nalts” Nalty is a career marketer (previously with Johnson & Johnson, KPMG Consulting and Merck) and one of YouTube’s most-viewed comedians. Author of “Beyond Viral Video (Wiley, 2010),” Nalty consults with brands via NaltsConsulting.com and creates sponsored videos (see below), some seen more than 1 million times.

How do custom promotional videos work? I make custom promotional videos — which can appear on my frequently-viewed YouTube channel and more than a dozen other online video site. Sponsored videos are always identified as such, and are primarily entertaining but also deliver a promotional message. The process I have used for clients (see various case studies) is as follows:
- I speak with the client to understand the marketing goal — whether it’s branding, direct response, PR, lead generation, or engaging with customers.
- Unless one is already written, I produce a “creative brief,” and a series of creative concepts that strike a balance between entertainment (to ensure broad distribution) and subtle but effective promotion. Sometimes I connect the brand or agency to other creators.
- If I produce the video, I produce several rounds of revisions with a typical turnaround of is 4-6 weeks.
- I deliver metrics on how the video is rated, and what views it achieves. My promotional videos have been seen from 50,000 to millions of times.

Strangely enough Me and a good friend did this at a tourist attraction in the UK called Blackpool, but we used the ball that you put the powder in that you put in the washing machine on our bellies to make fart noises.
