Sponsored videos are always identified as such, and are primarily entertaining but also deliver a promotional message. The process I have used for clients (see various case studies) is as follows:
    • I speak with the client to understand the marketing goal — whether it’s branding, direct response, PR, lead generation, or engaging with customers.
    • Unless one is already written, I produce a “creative brief,” and a series of creative concepts that strike a balance between entertainment (to ensure broad distribution) and subtle but effective promotion. Sometimes I connect the brand or agency to other creators.
