This is a wonderfully creative and artistic video posted by a YouTuber named SquiggMonster. It’s called “~!0v3:H@t3:sEx:N@!tS~” and it’s a strange homage and assault of me in one 5-minute film. If you only watch a portion, check out the morph at 1:50.I don’t quite know why, but I am totally enchanted by it. Of course it features me transforming into Satan (and I’m not a big fan of his), but the images and song and classic ending make it so very interesting.

Gosh! I hate that morph! It was cool, yes, but totally freaks me out! If I were watching a scary movie, great, but since it has your face Kev…I’m like NOooooooo!!!!!!! To compose and create something as elaborate as this derived from hate? So much time devoted to hate. Yikes!

Well, that’s probably one of the best “hate” videos I’ve seen, so you should feel proud at least that you’ve inspired one that’s, at the very least, creative. I don’t quite understand the whole hate video trend. It seems like a waste of time and energy. However, I’m impressed by your response to it. I’ve seen way too many rant videos about how people aren’t bothered by their haters. This is a perfect response and, IMO, takes a lot of patience and confidence to respond in such a way. Good job.

Kevin: get ‘Morph Age’ software and do your own morphing. It’s cheap and easy.
I got a nice note from the creator, Jeff. He’s formerly known as whirlysquirrel. I really think it was an act of art more than a “hate” video but maybe that’s what I need to believe. Meanwhile, I just downloaded a version of that morph software MorphAge (free trial). I need to do a “separated at birth” montage. Anyone know if you’re allowed to use screen grabs of people without copyright issues?

Kevin, if it’s a famous person, they have no expectation of privacy and you can grab it under Fair Use. But I’d attribute whichever website I got it off of. That’s how I’d swing it. Attribution, attribution, attribution. But you can’t have any of my Photoshop “art” off of Flickr without asking me first.

I’ve been a subscriber of Jeffs for awhile and I really don’t think he was attacking you, I do think it was an art video. He’s a pretty funny guy, worth checking out.
