"simple and packaged"

I'll give you the power of positive thinking vs negative thinking when it comes to health and wellbeing.

The only trouble I have with these types of book schemes is the amount of money people spend to acquire the package and the people who get rich off of them. Same with religion, like this scam artist Rev. Hagee. There's good in everyone, I don't know why we need to spend gobs of money to remind us of that. Does this have anything to do with the topic, I forget, I'm on hold.

Check out brotherofnalts getting cranky about the Secret, to say nothing of promoting a video of me transforming into a demon. Actually The Secret is not an alternative to religion, but it's so simple and packaged. And if you substitute "God" for "universe" and "getting rich" to "getting connected with God" it works quite well. The idea is that we are in more control of our lives than we think- and our prayer and thought can directly effect our circumstances.

Hi Nalts

Funny you should mention the Secret, a great success regarding the use of downloadable video.
The producers bought email lists of people interested in self help etc, made a short promo, revealing very little, set a release date, made a big who har about the release date, made the video available as a download for $5, and sold 200,000. Do the maths, that is a million buckeroonies!!

Now think about how many times your vids have been watched on youtube :)

Jan- thanks for starting the thread. Now I just have to remember my password. :)

Leigh- glad to help.

Slater- I do agree that you can always slim a video down. I did a 1-minute version of a Spencer eating babyfood, and was able to do a better video in 30 seconds. Same as Mentos. I hate when I get locked to 30 seconds but it always works.

Thanks for letting us know how you work with your sponsors. Now that my friends (Dave Laird) and I have had so much success with XLNTads.com we will be looking into other ways of working with sponsors. Keep blazing that trail and providing us with good advice.

Hey, Slice...

IMO, Trippy's video was wayyyy too long. He doesn't get to the "product" until more than 3 minutes in, and by then, I'd long since tuned out... Admittedly, I'm NOT a loyal Trippy subscriber/fan, nor am I necessarily the demo for the Sega game, so more people may have stuck thru it...

However, I'm a BIG fan of videos that make their point as quickly as possible, particularly if they're gonna promote something. I dig your 2-minute rule. Ya think CT could have trimmed that to a 60 and still been effective?

Funny thing about Kelloggs. I did a video about the cereal (never heard a thing). Then I created a short-lived diet/exercise blog, and got a package full of the new healthy water/snacks line.
