Ben Folds’ “Ashlee Simpson Moment” is Prank On Fans November 22, 2006

Ben Folds’ fans in the sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom (NYC) show last weekend thought the musician was having an Ashlee Simpson lip sync moment. Folds’ song began skipping on CD and the band had to restart the opening (see video). Finally, Folds’ drummer and guitarist marched off the stage in frustration.
Turns out the moment was another fine mission by the folks from “ImprovEverywhere.” Here’s the back story.
